Jay Steinfeld, Blinds.com, CEO sold to Home Depot
As founder and CEO of Blinds.com, Jay was an early mover in e-Commerce, in 1993 bootstrapping his website built in his garage into the world’s #1 online window covering store. In January, 2014, Blinds.com was acquired by The Home Depot. Jay is still active as CEO, driving and integrating the Blinds.com platform into Home Depot’s interconnected retail strategy. Jay is an Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year and writes for Inc. Magazine a column entitled Chief Effective Officer, about becoming a more effective leader. Todd Parsapour, Stout Advisors, Head of Energy
Todd is a Managing Director and Head of the Energy Practice within the Investment Banking group. He has more than 14 years of experience providing advice on a wide range of corporate finance transactions including 12 years within the energy sector. Prior to joining Stout, Todd spent more than 11 years at Simmons & Company International in Houston, where he was a senior executive in the Energy Services & Equipment Corporate Finance Group. He helped originate, execute and close more than 45 transactions totaling approximately $36 billion in aggregate transaction value. He provided a variety of corporate advisory and underwriting services including sell-side and buy-side advisory services, strategic reviews, fairness opinions, public and private equity and debt capital raises, and restructuring advisory services.
Harry J. “Johnny” Brooks, CEO and Chairman, Commercial State Bank sold to First Financial Bank
Johnny Brooks has been a Houston banker for 35 years where he has focused on the sale and acquisition of community banks. Since 2003, he has started a bank, raised $35 million in capital, bought two banks and sold two banks for $134 million. He currently serves as the Regional Chairman, CEO and President of First Financial Bank, where he is responsible for strategic direction and growth for the bank’s Kingwood region, a $7.6 billion publicly traded bank. Prior to First Financial Bank, Johnny was the regional CEO for Sterling Bank. He was responsible for commercial lending in 14+ branches/21 lenders in the Houston North region with loans outstanding of ~$650MM, commercial deposits of $550M+, personal lending authority of $3MM secured and $2MM unsecured.
Gregory Houghtaling, Founding Partner, Vista Private Equity Group
Greg is a founding partner of the Vista Group of entities and manages the activities of Vista’s Private Equity Group. Prior to founding Vista in 2006, Greg served as a Managing Director for 10 years with RSTW Partners, a Houston-based private equity firm which invested mezzanine and equity capital totaling $850 million through three institutional investment funds. At RSTW, Greg was responsible for managing the entire investment process on transactions that he led. His experience also includes turnaround management and restructuring outside and within the federal bankruptcy court. |
