“Polishing Your Presentation Skills” WORKSHOP

Go beyond the basics of presentation design to deliver a winning meeting every time.

Go beyond the basics of presentation design to deliver a winning meeting every time.

Everything you think you know about presentations is no longer true. The traditional model “tell them what you’re going to tell them, tell them, then tell them what you just told them” has been made obsolete by a range of factors, not the least of which is declining audience attention spans. To be an effective presenter, you must now be able to capture your message in just a few words, and then execute your strategy in a way that “makes the brain smile.”

In this session, you’ll see how to craft a clear message that can be understood in five seconds or less; how to structure a presentation that makes your key points in a way that keeps audiences engaged and entertained; creating a mindset that actually gets listeners to agree with you; the art of “performing” a presentation; how to avoid the telltale signs of lying; the importance of speaking to audiences in words and language they understand; and how to be sure your PowerPoint supports your presentation rather than killing it.

Attendees will learn:

  • The most effective way to structure a presentation that keeps the audience’s attention.
  • New strategies for developing your message in an A-D-D world.
  • Techniques on how to look, speak and perform.
  • Building Rainmaker Confidence
  • How to avoid death by the PowerPoint.
