Renee Hansen is a Business Development Director for Vaco Houston. She’s responsible for generating new business for their senior level finance and accounting consultants in the Greater Houston area. Vaco partners with clients on critical projects and has been named one of the fastest growing companies in America for the last eleven (11) consesutive years by Inc. Magazine.
Renee currently serves as Co-Director of Membership for the Women's Energy Network (WEN) and Director of Sponsorships for the National Business Development Association (NBDA).
She previously was a Senior Manager in PwC’s West Region Tax Marketing team focused on impacting the tax sales process by linking client issues and needs to specific new business opportunities. She also held a role in PwC’s Marketing and Sales team responsible for account management of the Firm's priority non-audit Energy accounts.
Prior to PwC, Renee served as Retention Manager of the Member Services Division at the Greater Houston Partnership. The division retains and recruits Member companies reflective of Houston’s diverse business community. Renee was responsible for 70% of the Partnership’s annual operating budget by retaining nearly 2,100 Members. She facilitated impactful interactions between Partnership Members and the local, state, national and international communities to promote resources, initiatives and events available to Members.
Previously, Renee excelled as an Information Technology (IT) Recruiter for Triangle Technology. Renee developed business with companies that had technology job openings as well as placed candidates with a technical skill set. While in sales, Renee utilized the Partnership’s networking opportunities to gain new clients through her volunteer role as an Investor Ambassador. She also expanded her sales knowledge by participating in Sandler Sales Training.
Prior to working as a recruiter, Renee traveled globally as a professional meeting planner.
Renee began her career in advertising with DDB Needham Tracy Locke and earned her B. A. degree in Journalism from Louisiana State University.
