Houston Chapter

Welcome to the National Business Development Association (NBDA). After years of serving in start-up, business development and restructure roles and then building my own business, people frequently asked me, “Where do we go for best practices on business development?” I realized that there were multiple marketing associations, but not one true business development trade association focused entirely on providing the venue for new business relationships and c-level speakers and panelists who share why they hire us. The idea took shape in 2012 with the formation of a board of professionals of director level and higher business development experts who made the vision a reality.

The first chapter was launched in Houston, Texas with huge success! Thus, I officially welcome you to NBDA, now an active organization that provides best practices sharing, identification and development of professional skills for this critically important business group. Our exclusive, trademarked network of professionals promises to provide great value that you will not find anywhere else. I am honored to share my passion for business development with you and to call upon other renowned experts in the field to introduce you to tools, techniques and resources that can help you go to the next level.

Together, we can build relationships, build trust and build more business than we can handle. As some of my colleagues have noted, we can help each other as professionals to develop tools that increase the number of leads and conversion rates. At the same time, our trade association can provide all of us access to knowledgeable individuals who will share experiences about how to build valued relationships, improve our skills, and develop robust plans and programs.

NBDA does this through premier events, workshops, coaching calls and university programs. We will share ideas through quarterly newsletters, provide an online resource library and membership directory, and a bimonthly jobs newsletter.
